CERTIFICATES IN PAPER TECHNOLOGY

The Certificates in Paper Technology Level 2 and 3 have replaced the City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Paper and Boardmaking. They are designed to underpin the knowledge requirements for the Combined Working Practices NVQ at Levels 2 and 3 as well as providing a bridge between introductory level paper technology (Foundation) and HNC level. Level 2, in particular, will also meet the needs of individuals who wish to gain a basic understanding of the paper making process, supporting activities, resources and provide the required knowledge with which to progress to Level 3.

The Certificates have been developed in collaboration with the Process Awards Authority, the awarding body for these qualifications.

For further information on the syllabus and course outline visit www.paa-uk.org

Learning materials have been produced to accompany the Certificates in Paper Technology Level 2 and 3 and will be issued, FREE of charge, to candidates upon registration.

The CDs are designed to enable candidates to complete a course of learning and gain a qualification by distance learning. A key benefit of distance learning is that people do not have to be away from work and home to study for a qualification and they can study at a time and pace most suitable for them. Having said this PaperTech2 can be used by a course tutor to deliver a more structure programme.

For further details on the CDs please contact www.paa-uk.org.

If you do not wish to sign up with the Process Awards Authority but wish to purchase a set of the PaperTech CD's they are avaliable to purchase, for both member and non member companies. To order a set of CD Roms click here.
